Reinhold Jewelers started its tradition in 1975 in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, where guarded by its centuries old walls, it offered to its clients the beauty of a perfect diamond, the intense color of a blue sapphire or the perfect form of a ruby. Ten years later, the company would grow under the leadership of Marie Helene Morrow until becoming a pioneer firm in the designer jewelry business in the United States and the Caribbean.
With her discerning eye, she was able to highlight that sublime connection between art and life, starting out with a small counter in the legendary Velasco store in Plaza las Américas. From this discreet beginning under the hand of Marie Helene, an original vision started to evolve, giving way to a company that presently, under the expert guidance of David Morrow, has a total of 10 stores. Three of those stores have the name of Reinhold Jewelers, including their flagship store in Plaza las Américas, one in Ponce at Plaza del Caribe Mall and at the El San Juan Hotel in Isla Verde. There are also 6 TOUS stores, in Plaza las Américas, Ponce, Bayamón, Mayagüez, Carolina and Hatillo. The David Yurman store in Plaza las Américas, which bears the name of the renowned American designer who revolutionized the world of jewelry by giving a recognizable name and face to the anonymous world of the goldsmith, completes the Reinhold group of stores. Emphasizing the designers and their about has earned Reinhold Jewelers much international recognition and established its prestige as a company that gives value to the authorship of the jewelry creations.
Each and every collection offered by Reinhold Jewelers reflects the connection between the artist, his surrounding and his history. The combination of these elements gives each piece the value which the clients treasure at the moment of purchase. This avant garde and innovative view of jewelry as an expression of art and life earned the company the first place in the category “Retailer in Designer Jewelry” outside of the continental USA in the year 2000. In 2001, “Women’s Jewelry Association” chose the firm as “Retailer of the Year “, being this the first time that the recognition was given to a company outside of the continental United States. In 2002, Reinhold Jewelers was named “Best Designer Retailer” by the “Contemporary Designer Group”. These achievements were the product of the leadership of Mrs. Morrow, who now acts as Chief Executive Officer of the company.
So as to assure the value of its brand, Reinhold’s culture of quality and service is focused on clients as well as employees. Reinhold Jewelers works to achieve a special connection with its clients, understanding their wishes and desires and helping them to connect with that special and individual piece of jewelry. Employees must know the story of each piece and be able to inspire the desire of owning something of unique value, like alchemists working with words to translate the mystery of art and life. Art that started as an idea, took shape in the hands of a goldsmith and culminated in light, color and brilliance before finding its way to that iconic display at Reinhold Jewelers, just as Marie Helene Morrow had dreamed of as a child, paying homage to the senses.
